Camera or image, on your device
QR code scanner
Point your camera at a code or upload a picture of one. We show you what is inside before anything opens.
Made on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Check a code before you open it
A QR code can hide any link, including one that imitates a bank or a delivery service. This scanner always shows the full address as plain text and never opens it for you, so you can read the domain first. Be wary of codes stuck over other codes, of shortened links and of any page that asks for a password or payment right after a scan.
Questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. Decoding runs in your browser, and the picture or camera frames never leave your device.
Why does it not open the link for me?
So you can look at the address first. Opening an unknown link is the main way QR codes are abused.
It will not read my code. What should I try?
Hold steady in even light, fill the frame with the code, and keep the white margin visible. A cracked, glossy or very small print can also fail.
